Essential Reading

The essentials

What's free — and what costs money?

Writing, typesetting, revising, and a watermarked proof PDF are free, with a monthly allowance of AI credits. You pay only when something leaves the screen:

  • Bindery Pro — $39/mo or $390/yr
  • Clean PDF + EPUB — $49 once
  • Printed copies — quoted upfront
  • Credit packs — from $12 once

When are payments refundable?

System errors are on us: incomplete generations, double charges, or a valid code that wouldn't redeem are restored or refunded. Taste isn't refundable — a style or plot you'd write differently is what the free proof and revising by conversation are for.

Within 14 days: email hello@infinitelibrary.ai with your receipt and what happened — a human reviews every case.

Pricing & Plans

Yes. Bindery, our book studio, is free to start: describe your book to the agent and it drafts the words and typesets real, print-ready pages as you watch — designed cover included. A free account comes with a monthly allowance of AI credits, unlimited books, and a free watermarked proof PDF of any book, any time. No credit card. You pay only when something leaves the screen: a Pro membership, clean print-ready files, or printed copies.
We don't sell a lifetime plan. Writing is free to start, and Bindery Pro — $39/month or $390/year — adds unlimited clean, watermark-free file downloads across every book, a larger monthly credit allowance, priority composing, and the Infinite Unlimited reading membership at no extra charge. If you write at volume, Studio ($195/month, 5× the credits) and Publisher ($390/month, 10×) sit above Pro at the same per-credit rate. Cancel anytime; your books remain yours.
Drafting and typesetting are free, and a watermarked proof PDF is always free. One $49 unlock opens all of a single book's finished files — the clean print-ready PDF, the EPUB, the IngramSpark-ready bookstore pack, and the audiobook master if you've narrated it — or they're unlimited on a Bindery membership (Pro $39/month or $390/year). Printed copies are priced per book, with the full printing-and-shipping quote shown before you pay.
Exactly two optional charges recur: a Bindery membership — Pro ($39/month or $390/year), or the larger Studio ($195/month) and Publisher ($390/month) rungs, always one subscription at whichever rung — and the Infinite Unlimited reading membership ($9.99/month or $79/year), which every Bindery membership already includes, so nobody needs both. Everything else is one-time: the $49 file unlock, Bindery AI credit packs (from $12, no membership required), and print orders. (Audiobook narration now runs on your plan's AI credits inside Bindery — the old one-time audiobook fees are retired, and anything they bought stays yours.) (The old library credit packs are no longer sold — existing balances stay honored.)
Credits are the library-side balance that powers AI across Infinite Library — above all growing a personalized 'For You' book into a full-length novel at 2,000 credits per chapter. Every new account starts with 10,000 free credits, no card needed. The one-time packs were retired in July 2026 — new packs are no longer sold, but every credit you already own stays valid and never expires. Ongoing credits arrive with the Infinite Unlimited membership's monthly allowance. Writing a book itself happens in Bindery and is free to start.
Yes — twice over. Credits you bought for the old Studio are the same balance, still yours, never expiring: they now power the library's AI, like growing an Infinite book into a full-length novel at 2,000 credits per chapter. And because book writing itself moved to the Bindery agent, the first time you sign into Bindery with the same email, the unused value of your packs is automatically added to your Bindery studio budget as a one-time credit grant, converted at our best member rate — no code, no support ticket, and your library balance here stays untouched. Your old Studio drafts make the move on their own too: opening a draft's link carries it into Bindery with its writing intact.
Generation simply pauses, and you won't lose progress or content. Since the one-time packs retired, credits refill through the Infinite Unlimited membership's monthly allowance — once new credits land, generation resumes where it stopped. Any balance you already have never expires.
In the app: Account → Credits & Ledger shows purchases, usage, and your current balance. Or email hello@infinitelibrary.ai and we'll send you a ledger.
Yes! Affiliates earn 30% of everything a referred reader pays during their first 12 months (up to 40% as your referrals grow) through a personal share link, and your audience gets 20% off. Details and free sign-up: https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/affiliates.

Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of all content created, including full copyright and publishing rights. Attribution is completely optional—you are not required to disclose that AI was used. Many authors voluntarily mention their tools in a "Resources" section, but it's entirely your choice.

Getting Best Results

Chat tools hand you text in a chat window; Bindery hands you a book. The agent is built for book-length work — it keeps your whole manuscript in context as it writes, and it typesets real, print-ready pages as you talk: chapters, running heads, a designed cover. When it's done you have files a printer accepts, not a wall of chat to copy-paste.
1. Tell the Bindery agent your idea — or import a Word, PDF, or EPUB manuscript, paste YouTube links, or let it interview you chapter by chapter. 2. It drafts the words and typesets real pages as you watch; revising is the same conversation. 3. Download the free watermarked proof any time, and unlock the clean PDF + EPUB when you're ready. 4. Order printed copies, or publish to the library and keep 95% of royalties.
Yes. Import a Word, PDF, or EPUB file and the agent typesets it into real, print-ready pages — and can edit, restructure, or extend it in the same conversation if you want it to.
Yes — that pile is a first-class starting point. Choose Notes when you add a book and drop in meeting transcriptions (.vtt/.srt exports from Zoom, Teams, or Otter work as-is), customer interviews, voice-memo transcripts, and plain notes — or paste text straight in. The agent reads every word before writing anything, maps the themes, proposes what the book could become, then writes real chapters in your voice, grounded in your material — never typeset verbatim, never invented.
Be specific in the conversation (2-3 sentences beat one word). State clear constraints (e.g., "Modern setting with contemporary infrastructure; avoid poverty stereotypes"). Name relationships consistently. Provide sensory details from your actual memories. Ask for one chapter first to verify tone and voice before the full draft.

Publishing

Yes. Publish a finished book of 50,000+ words to the public library and keep 95% of royalties — and 100% of the copyright. Payouts run through Stripe Connect, and you can unpublish at any time.
Yes. Your export files are KDP-ready — an EPUB for the ebook and a print-ready interior PDF, included with the $49 unlock or Bindery Pro. You'll need your final files, a cover image (recommended ≥ 3000×4500 px), title, author bio, keywords, and pricing. On request, we'll guide you through the upload steps and best practices.
Yes — that's Bindery's home turf. Choose hardcover, paperback, coil-bound, or saddle-stitch; our production partner Lulu Press prints on demand and ships worldwide. You see the full printing-and-shipping quote before you pay, and production typically takes about 5 business days plus shipping.
Yes, two ways. On White Glove Executive and Chairman engagements we place your book in the Ingram catalog — the wholesale system 40,000+ bookstores and libraries in 150+ countries order stock from — so any bookstore on earth can order it for a customer. A catalog listing makes your book orderable, not automatically shelf-stocked; shelf placement is won store by store, which is what the Chairman launch campaign is for. Self-publishing instead? Export your print-ready files and upload them to IngramSpark yourself.
Publishing to the public library needs a finished book — 50,000+ words — that passes the content policy (no sexually explicit material, no infringing IP). If a book that qualifies still fails, the hiccup is usually transient: try again in a minute. If it persists, email hello@infinitelibrary.ai with the book's title and we'll check the logs.
Open your book's read page and use the Track Order button. Questions about an order in progress? Email hello@infinitelibrary.ai with your order number and we'll check it.
On the /read page, click the Gear icon (Settings) at the top and toggle on the 'Private' switch to unpublish a book.

Billing & Refunds

Refundable situations: System errors: Incomplete generation due to server crashes, technical bugs, or service failures. Billing errors: Double charges, unauthorized charges. Fraudulent charges: Unauthorized account access. Redemption issues: Valid code couldn't be redeemed due to system problem. Non-refundable situations: Content quality: Dissatisfaction with writing style, tone, or narrative quality. Creative differences: Story doesn't match your vision or expectations. Plot/character issues: Unhappy with storyline, character development, or plot direction. User-initiated changes: Wanting different storyline, major rewrites, or additional features. To request a review: Email hello@infinitelibrary.ai within 14 days with your receipt, transaction ID, purchase platform (Website/iOS/Google Play), and description of the issue.
Match the amount and the interval. Recurring at today's list prices: $39/month or $390/year is Bindery Pro; $195/month or $1,950/year is Bindery Studio; $390/month or $3,900/year is Bindery Publisher; $9.99/month or $79/year is the Infinite Unlimited reading membership. (Founding-era rates are the same figures. A brief 2026-08-01→03 reprice listed Pro $59/$590, Studio $295/$2,950, Publisher $590/$5,900 before the founder reverted it — recurring charges at those amounts shouldn't exist, so send us any such receipt.) One-time: $49 is a Bindery file unlock (or, before July 2026, the retired standalone audiobook narration at the same $49 — the receipt's line item says which; the unlock was briefly $69 August 1–3, 2026); $12, $50, $160, or $390 is a Bindery AI credit pack ($18, $75, $250, or $590 for a few days in early August 2026, when the packs were briefly repriced — those charges are real and the credits stay valid); $99–$249 is a cloned-voice audiobook (retired — the charge is real and the files stay downloadable); $29.99, $99.99, $299.99, or $499.99 is a library credit pack (no longer sold, but old charges are real and those credits stay valid). Ambiguous amounts do exist — $390 is the largest credit pack, Pro billed yearly, or Publisher billed monthly, and $49 is the file unlock or the retired pre-July-2026 audiobook narration — so check whether the receipt says year, month, or one-time. (A $590 charge traces to the brief early-August-2026 window — most likely the largest credit pack.) Still unsure? Send the receipt to hello@infinitelibrary.ai and we'll identify it.
Store purchases (Apple App Store or Google Play) are typically refunded by Apple or Google directly. Contact us and we'll provide step-by-step instructions for requesting a refund from the appropriate store.
Share both receipts with support. If we confirm duplicates, we'll issue a refund or account credit. Acknowledgment typically within 5-7 business days once verified.

Content Policy & Safety

Our safety systems block sexually explicit content and other prohibited categories. If your scene was flagged, revise prompts to be non-explicit—use high-level descriptions or fade-to-black storytelling instead of detailed sexual content.
Sexually explicit material. Any sexual content involving minors. Graphic sexual violence. Other categories restricted by platform policy and law.
No. Avoid infringing IP (e.g., names, worlds, trademarked characters from existing works). Keep your content original or clearly transformative within legal limits.

Data & Privacy

Yes, both. Exports: open any book and use Export to download your work, or email support with subject "Data Export" for a full copy. Deletion is self-serve: Settings → Account → Delete account (or ask the support chat). We email your account's inbox a confirmation link; clicking it locks the account immediately and everything is permanently erased after a 14-day safety window — the same email includes a one-click cancel link in case you change your mind.
We do not use your private drafts to train public models. See the Terms/Privacy for full details; you can opt out of analytics where applicable.

Troubleshooting

No — a composing error never deletes your manuscript. Bindery saves automatic checkpoints as it works: press ⌘K, type 'Rewind', and restore the book to an earlier checkpoint. If a generation stalled, refresh and it picks up where it left off. If something truly looks missing, check you're signed in with the same email, then contact support and we'll dig in.
In Bindery, once composing finishes, the proof pane on the right shows your typeset pages. Without Pro, the proof toolbar shows 'Free proof' (a watermarked PDF, always free) and 'Unlock PDF & EPUB' — the one-time $49 unlock for that book's clean files. With Pro, or after the unlock, the download arrow above the proof saves the clean PDF and the EPUB button sits beside the Proof and Cover tabs. Downloads never consume credits.
Two paths, depending on the book. A personalized 'For You' book: open it in the reader, open the ••• menu, and choose 'Grow this book' — a guided flow expands it into a full-length novel at 2,000 credits per chapter. A book or draft from the retired writing Studio: open its old link and it carries itself into Bindery — the synopsis, outline, and finished chapters arrive as a Bindery book, and the agent keeps writing with you from where it stopped.
No. Sign in with Google or with a one-time email code — no password, any email provider. One account spans Infinite Library and Bindery: the same email signs into both.

Support

Courtesy credit reviews / duplicate charges: Typically acknowledged or resolved within 5-7 business days once receipts are provided. Critical generation blockers: Prioritized for immediate triage; we aim for rapid fixes once reproduced. General inquiries: Usually responded to within 1-2 business days.
For billing: the receipt or transaction ID and the purchase platform (web, Apple, or Google). For credit questions: a screenshot of Account → Credits & Ledger. For technical issues: the book's title, what happened, and roughly when. The Librarian — our support concierge in the site's chat — can also check order status and answer live; hello@infinitelibrary.ai reaches the same team.
Yes. Settings → Privacy → "Show me in search engines" — turn it off and your author page and books are removed from our sitemaps, marked so search engines skip them, and the engines are pinged to recrawl right away. Your books stay in the Library and keep working for readers; they just stop appearing in search results (existing results usually clear within days). Prefer a different name instead? Each book's byline can be a pen name — change it in Book Settings. Flip the switch back on any time to be discoverable again.
Just want out of search results? You don't need to delete anything — see "Can I stay out of Google without deleting my account?" above. For full deletion: Settings → Delete account starts it — your account locks immediately, your books and author page disappear from the library right away, and we immediately notify search engines that those pages are gone. After a 14-day safety window (one click on the link we email you restores everything), all of it is permanently erased — books, audiobooks, profile, reading history, personal data, and any cloned voice. Anonymized sales amounts are kept only where tax law requires them — never your name or email. Search results refresh on each engine's own schedule, usually within days. You can nudge Google yourself by pasting the old link into its refresh tool at search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content — or email hello@infinitelibrary.ai and we'll file the removal request for you. Can't sign in, or no longer have access to the account's email address? Write to hello@infinitelibrary.ai from any address and a human will verify it's you and take care of it.
