Bindery (bindery.infinitelibrary.ai) is the AI book studio: describe your book to the agent and it drafts the words and typesets real, print-ready pages as you watch — then narrates, prints, and publishes it. The Infinite Library website is where books are read, personalized, and sold: the public library, the “For You” feed that writes short books for one reader, audiobooks, fan fiction, and author royalties.

The same email signs into both. Both are made by Infinite Library SAS, an independent French AI book company founded in 2024.

A full-length grow to 60,000–80,000 words usually finishes the same day, and most books go from idea to a finished, print-ready proof in days rather than months. Bindery is a web app — nothing to install — and works in any modern browser on a desktop, tablet, or phone (on a phone the proof toolbar shows icons instead of labels). You can pin it like an app: Chrome and Edge offer a one-click install, Safari on a Mac uses File ▸ Add to Dock, and Safari on iPhone or iPad uses Share ▸ Add to Home Screen. For reading and listening there is also the Infinite Library app for iPhone and iPad on the App Store, which includes the studio’s front door.

The Infinite Library website is available in eight languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese — switchable from the site’s own language menu. Bindery’s interface is in English, but books can be written and typeset in many languages: right-to-left scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu get dedicated fonts and layout, and Chinese, Japanese, and Korean typeset correctly too. The Translate tool renders a finished book into 110 languages, “For You” books can be generated and read in over 50, and the Librarian support chat answers in whatever language you write.

Yes. Import a Word (.docx), PDF, EPUB, Markdown, or plain-text file and the agent typesets it into real, print-ready pages — images inside the file are extracted and re-placed as proper figures. The agent reads every word before writing anything, maps the themes, proposes what the book could become, then writes real chapters in your voice, grounded in your material — structured by theme, never one chapter per meeting, never typeset verbatim, never invented. If real names appear in the transcripts it offers, once and early, to anonymize them.

Both. Use the microphone in the composer to dictate a message, or upload recordings (m4a, mp3, wav, webm, mp4, or ogg) — up to 6 hours per recording and 100 MB per file — and they are transcribed at 15 studio credits per minute. A two-hour interview transcribes in a few minutes. Voice notes longer than ten minutes are attached as recordings rather than dictated. Transcripts don’t yet label who said what, so a two-person interview reads as one flow of text until you tell the agent who is who.

As long as you like within print limits. The Grow command offers four rungs — Novella (40,000 words), Novel (60,000), Full-length (80,000, the recommended default), and Epic (100,000) — and quotes an estimate before it starts (roughly 15–45 studio credits per 1,000 new words, depending on the model). Growing works in reverse too: ask the agent to tighten an overlong book. For print, a paperback runs 32–800 pages, a hardcover 24–800, a coil-bound book 2–470, and a saddle-stitched booklet 4–48.

Yes. Choose “Continue a series” in the New Book dialog and add the previous volumes (Word, PDF, EPUB, Markdown, or text). The agent distills a series bible — canon, timeline, open threads, and your voice — and writes the next volume from it. It needs a signed-in membership account. Otherwise each Bindery book holds one manuscript, so a standalone book doesn’t know about your other books unless you give it to them.

Anthropic’s Claude models, chosen from a picker in every book: Fast (the default, and what free accounts use), Recommended, Advanced, and Most capable. Each step up writes with a stronger model and spends more studio credits per turn, and the three higher tiers are a membership feature. The typesetting itself is real LaTeX composed by the agent. Infinite Library is an independent company that builds on Claude the way it builds on Stripe — it is not Anthropic, and it never trains models on your manuscripts.

The Cover tab (a 3D book beside the Proof) offers three routes: design it with the agent (generated art costs 50 studio credits per image, charged only when it succeeds), upload your own artwork, or choose a clean typographic style. A book with no designed cover still prints with a typographic cover carrying the title and author. The PDF proof shows the interior only; the cover wraps around at print time, sized to your exact page count.

A portrait session from one selfie. Upload a photo, and a director model studies it, writes a brief for each look, and edits your selfie into a set of author portraits — then reviews every shot against the selfie, reshoots misses at our cost, and drops anything that still isn’t you, never charged. Each finished photo costs 100 studio credits: free accounts get two photos free once the open book has at least 200 words, and members get the whole first set of four free. Photos come out at 4:5, about 896 × 1120 pixels — a crisp 2-inch print at 300 DPI — and land on the About-the-Author page, the back-cover bio, and your storefront byline. It needs an account.

Yes. Type /translate and choose from 110 languages, including right-to-left scripts with their own fonts. Translation runs on studio credits — 20 per 1,000 source words, multiplied by the model you pick — and you get a free preview of the translated opening first. If your balance runs out the job pauses and resumes where it stopped, without re-charging finished passages.

Yes — every book keeps automatic checkpoints: before each agent turn, on every manual save, before a fresh chat, and before a rewind, so a rewind is itself undoable. Press ⌘K and type “Rewind” (or type /rewind) to restore an earlier checkpoint; the newest 40 are kept and manual saves are kept forever. A rewind restores the writing and design only — sharing, collaborators, and publish state stay as they are, so it can never un-share or un-publish a book.

Everything else is one-time: the $49 file unlock, Bindery credit packs (from $12, no membership required), the “finish just this one” novel upgrade on a For You book ($14.99, when offered), and print orders. Card details go to Stripe directly — we never see or store the number.

Yes. Bindery credit packs are one-time top-ups any signed-in account can buy: 2,000 credits for $12, 10,000 for $50, 40,000 for $160, or 100,000 for $390. They never expire, roll over month to month, and stack on any plan. Members can also switch on auto-refill in Account → Billing — pick a pack and a threshold, get a receipt email with an off switch each time, capped at a few charges a day. (These are Bindery’s packs; the old library credit packs were retired in July 2026, and existing balances stay honored.)

Membership and credit-pack checkouts have a “have a code?” field. Every affiliate’s handle doubles as a code that gives you 20% off — for twelve months on a subscription, once on a one-time purchase — and credits the affiliate who sent you. Founding-member rates were the same figures as today’s list prices, so there is no hidden cheaper tier to hunt for. A rejected code tells you why: expired, not live yet, fully redeemed, or switched off. We never invent urgency — the prices on the page are the prices.

Because there are two products. Bindery studio credits pay for the studio’s AI — writing, art, narration, translation, transcription — and arrive as a monthly allowance (800 free, 10,000 on Pro, 50,000 on Studio, 100,000 on Publisher) or as one-time packs. Infinite Library credits are the reading side’s balance: they grow a “For You” book into a full novel at 2,000 credits per chapter, every account starts with 10,000, and new ones arrive only with the one-time “grow this book” purchase (when offered). They are separate balances in separate places, and neither expires. One trap: a Bindery membership includes unlimited reading and listening but no library-credit allowance, so a member’s writing spends studio credits, never library credits.

Prose is metered per turn on the words the model reads and writes, so stronger models cost more. Flat rates for everything else: generated art 50 credits per image (covers included, charged only on success), narration 50 credits per 1,000 characters, transcription 15 credits per minute, translation 20 credits per 1,000 source words times the model factor, songs 300 credits per finished minute, and author photos 100 credits each.

Buy an ebook or paperback from its page in the library; the author sets the price and keeps 95% of the royalty. Paperbacks bought from a Bindery storefront can be gifts too, with your name, a message, and an optional recipient email.

Members can clone their own voice instead. Narration runs on studio credits at 50 per 1,000 characters plus the agent’s script pass — a 60,000-word book is roughly 17,000 credits — and the estimate appears before anything records. Listening in the studio is free, and re-narrating after edits only pays for the chapters that changed.

Payouts run through Stripe Connect, you don’t need payout setup before your first sale — earnings wait as a pending balance — and you can unpublish at any time. A Bindery book also gets its own storefront page the moment it is published.

Money moves in two hops. First, us to your Stripe account: every sale is recorded the moment it completes and released automatically the day your payout setup finishes, then on a daily sweep and whenever you open infinitelibrary.ai/earnings — so a royalty is normally released within a day of the sale. Second, Stripe to your bank: on Stripe’s own schedule for your country, commonly a few business days (the very first payout after verification takes longer), with the exact date in your Stripe dashboard via Manage on the earnings page.

The earnings page shows gross, pending, and paid out; what you receive is the pending/paid-out figure, never the gross — for a paperback most of the gross is printing and shipping. Refunds and chargebacks reverse the matching royalty, and taxes on your earnings are yours to report.

Yes. Share → Invite adds editors, who write with the agent on their own credits, or viewers, who can read the proof but not change it. Only the owner can publish, print, export, or delete, and recording music, translating, and publishing are owner-only. There is no comment or annotation layer yet — editors talk to the agent directly, and every change lands in the shared checkpoints.

Yes — that is a group book. Share → “Collect contributions” gives you a link (bindery.infinitelibrary.ai/c/…) anyone can open with no account and no app: they add their name, a note, up to six photos, and a voice note recorded on the spot. Contributions land in the book’s files, and “Weave them into the book” writes them in, crediting each person by name and placing their photos. “Reset link” retires a leaked link, contributors can tick “I’d like a printed copy” (only you see that list, and the Order dialog offers a one-tap order for everyone), and Bindery never emails your contributors itself.

The design shelf (bindery.infinitelibrary.ai/designs) is where authors publish a finished book’s page design — typography, margins, chapter openers, the whole page architecture — for others to start from. You’ll find “Make a book in this design” on any published book’s site and “fork it” on the last page of a shared proof. The designer’s name prints on the colophon of every book started in their design, and they earn $1 per copy printed — paid from our margin, never charged to the new author. A borrowed design can’t be re-listed, though a book inspired by one can.

You retain 100% ownership of everything you create — the text, the cover, the narration, the design — including full copyright and publishing rights, whether you publish with us or anywhere else. Attribution is completely optional: you are not required to disclose that AI was used. Many authors mention their tools in an acknowledgments or resources section, but it is entirely your choice. We never use your manuscripts or prompts to train models.

### [How do I prove I wrote my book?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#how-do-i-prove-i-wrote-my-book)

Issue a free Certificate of Authorship (type /certificate) for any finished Bindery book: a signed record of the author, the title, and a fingerprint of the text — a SHA-256 hash of the manuscript itself, not the PDF, so a margin tweak or an engine upgrade doesn’t read as “the book changed.” Each certificate has an ID like BNDY-2026-xxxxxxxx and a public verification page at bindery.infinitelibrary.ai/cert/<id>, printed on the document with a QR code. Editing the text mints a new revision while earlier certificates stay valid for the earlier text. It is a provenance record, not a government copyright registration — you already hold the copyright either way.

Not in books you publish or sell: avoid infringing IP — names, worlds, and trademarked characters from existing works — and keep your content original or clearly transformative within legal limits. You warrant that you hold the rights to what you publish, and we remove infringing work promptly on a valid request from a rights holder. The site’s own fan fiction area is different: it is transformative, non-commercial, fans-for-fans content, clearly labeled as unaffiliated with the original owners.

No. Infinite Library does not train AI models itself and never uses your prompts, uploads, manuscripts, or generated books to train models — private or published. ## Billing & refunds

### [When can I get a refund or credit restoration?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#when-can-i-get-a-refund-or-credit-restoration)

Refundable — system errors are on us:

- An incomplete generation caused by a server crash, bug, or service failure (credits are restored).
- Billing errors: double charges, unauthorized charges, or a valid code that couldn’t be redeemed.
- A printed book that arrives damaged or defective (reprint or refund).

Not refundable — taste and creative direction:

- Dissatisfaction with writing style, tone, or narrative quality; a story that doesn’t match your vision; wanting a different storyline or major rewrites. That is what the free proof, the free editor’s read, and revising by conversation are for.

Because AI generation is digital content supplied immediately, credits and generation features are final once generation begins (the EU right of withdrawal is waived under Article L.221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code), and print-on-demand copies are exempt from returns unless defective.
To request a review, email hello@infinitelibrary.ai within 14 days with your receipt or transaction ID, the purchase platform (web, Apple, or Google Play for older purchases), and what happened — a human reviews every case.

Match the amount and the interval on the receipt.
Recurring: $39/month or $390/year is Bindery Pro; $195/month or $1,950/year is Bindery Studio; $390/month or $3,900/year is Bindery Publisher — the one membership, at whichever rung. Bindery memberships appear as a “Bindery Pro” line from Infinite Library.
One-time: $49 is a Bindery file unlock (or, before July 2026, the retired standalone audiobook narration — the line item says which); $12, $50, $160, or $390 is a Bindery credit pack; $14.99 is a “finish just this one” novel upgrade; $99–$249 is a retired cloned-voice audiobook; $29.99, $99.99, $299.99, or $499.99 is a retired library credit pack; anything else is a print order — which may show in euros, since the printer bills in EUR.
A brief repricing ran August 1–3, 2026: the unlock was $69 and packs were $18, $75, $250, or $590 — those charges are real and the credits stay valid — but recurring charges at the repriced $59/$590, $295/$2,950, or $590/$5,900 shouldn’t exist, so send us any such receipt.
Ambiguous amounts do exist — $390 is the largest pack, Pro billed yearly, or Publisher billed monthly; $49 is the unlock or the old narration fee — so check whether the receipt says year, month, or one-time. Still unsure? Send the receipt to hello@infinitelibrary.ai and we’ll identify it.

A Bindery membership is managed from the account dialog inside Bindery, or from the billing portal on this site (Manage membership on your For You shelf): switch between Pro, Studio, and Publisher in place (Stripe prorates the difference), or cancel — you keep everything until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and your books, files, and pack credits remain yours. A monthly plan can be paused for one, two, or three months from the cancel step; a founding or grandfathered rate survives a pause but a full cancel gives it up for good, and yearly plans can’t pause. A membership bought in the app is cancelled in your Apple Account settings.

### [I purchased via Apple/Google. Who handles refunds?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#i-purchased-via-apple-google-who-handles-refunds)

Apple. Purchases made through the App Store are billed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com (Google Play handles its own older purchases the same way). Contact us if you’d like step-by-step help — and if a store purchase hasn’t shown up in your account, tap Restore purchases in the app first.

Share both receipts with hello@infinitelibrary.ai (or the Librarian chat, which opens a ticket with the conversation attached). If we confirm duplicates we issue a refund or account credit, typically within 5–7 business days once verified. Card details live with Stripe, so a duplicate is always fixable — and one common false alarm is a print order that shows in both your currency and in euros, which is one charge, not two.

Our safety systems block sexually explicit content and other prohibited categories. If your scene was flagged, revise the prompt to be non-explicit — use high-level descriptions or fade-to-black storytelling instead of detailed sexual content. Mature themes, violence in context, and adult relationships are fine; explicit sexual detail is not.

- Sexually explicit material, and any sexual content involving minors.
- Graphic sexual violence.
- Content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property.
- Cloning a person’s voice or likeness without their authorization, and deepfakes.
- Using the service or its output to train or build competing AI models; scraping or bulk extraction.
- Other categories restricted by platform policy and law.

Books published for sale also pass a content check before they go live.

### [How old do I have to be?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#how-old-do-i-have-to-be)

At least 13 to use Infinite Library and Bindery. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live (16 in parts of the EU/EEA), you may use them only with a parent or guardian’s permission and involvement. To sell books, receive payouts, or buy paid features you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). We rely on these representations rather than verifying age.

Every book published for sale passes a content check, and the discovery gate — including an adult-content classifier — decides what surfaces in search, the app, and the feeds; the catalog the app shows is the same one search engines are allowed to index. Readers can hide, block, or report a book, rights holders can request removal, and takedowns take effect immediately because book pages read live.

Yes, both. Exports: open any book and use Export (or type /export in Bindery) to download your work, or email support with the subject “Data Export” for a full copy. Deletion is self-serve: Settings → Account → Delete account (or ask the Librarian chat). We email your account’s inbox a confirmation link; clicking it locks the account immediately and everything is permanently erased after a 14-day safety window — the same email includes a one-click cancel link in case you change your mind.

### [Can I stay out of Google without deleting my account?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#search-visibility)

Yes. Settings → Privacy → “Show me in search engines” — turn it off and your author page and books are removed from our sitemaps, marked so search engines skip them, and the engines are pinged to recrawl right away. Your books stay in the Library and keep working for readers; they just stop appearing in search results (existing results usually clear within days). Prefer a different name instead? Each book’s byline can be a pen name — change it in Book Settings. Flip the switch back on any time to be discoverable again.

### [How do I delete my account — and get my pages out of Google?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#delete-account)

Just want out of search results? You don’t need to delete anything — see “Can I stay out of Google without deleting my account?” above. For full deletion: Settings → Delete account starts it (it covers both products — it is one shared account) — your account locks immediately, your books and author page disappear from the library right away, and we immediately notify search engines that those pages are gone. After a 14-day safety window (one click on the link we email you restores everything), all of it is permanently erased — books, audiobooks, profile, reading history, personal data, and any cloned voice (deleted immediately, including at our voice provider). What remains: anonymized sales amounts where tax law requires them — never your name or email — and books other people paid for stay readable to those buyers with your identity removed. Search results refresh on each engine’s own schedule, usually within days; you can nudge Google with its refresh tool at search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content, or email hello@infinitelibrary.ai and we’ll file the removal for you. Can’t sign in, or no longer have access to the account’s email address? Write to hello@infinitelibrary.ai from any address and a human will verify it’s you and take care of it.

No. Payments are handled by Stripe (and by Apple for App Store purchases) — card numbers never touch our servers. We keep the transaction records tax law requires, and your receipts come from Stripe.

### [What happens to my cloned voice data?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#what-happens-to-my-cloned-voice-data)

A voice clone is biometric data, created only with your explicit consent and used only to narrate your books. It is deleted the moment you delete the voice or your account — we also instruct the voice provider to delete the voiceprint — and in any case no later than three years after your last interaction. One clone per author; re-recording replaces the old one.

Essential cookies always (sign-in sessions, your language, the cart). Where the law requires it, a cookie notice lets you accept or decline non-essential ones: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics, and Google Ads conversion measurement. Affiliate attribution is entirely first-party — a 90-day cookie on our own domain, no third-party affiliate tracker. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

When something stalls, errors, or looks missing.

### [Composing stopped or showed an error. Is my book lost?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#composing-stopped-or-showed-an-error-is-my-book-lost)

No — a composing error never deletes your manuscript. Bindery saves automatic checkpoints as it works: press ⌘K, type “Rewind” (or /rewind), and restore the book to an earlier checkpoint. If a generation stalled, refresh and it picks up where it left off. If something truly looks missing, check you are signed in with the same email, then contact support and we’ll dig in.

### [Where do I download my print-ready PDF or EPUB?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#where-do-i-download-my-print-ready-pdf-or-epub)

In Bindery, once composing finishes, the proof pane on the right shows your typeset pages; export controls appear only once a proof exists. Without a membership or unlock, the proof toolbar shows “Free proof” (a watermarked PDF, always free) and “Unlock PDF & EPUB” — the one-time $49 unlock for that book’s clean files. After the unlock or on any membership, the download arrow above the proof saves the clean PDF, and the EPUB and Word buttons sit beside the Proof and Cover tabs (on a phone they are icons). Type /export for everything in one place. Downloads never consume credits.

### [My books disappeared. Where are they?](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#my-books-disappeared-where-are-they)

Almost always a different-email mix-up: check that your account shows the same email you used before (Google and email-code sign-ins with different addresses are different accounts). A guest book lives in the browser where you made it, so on another device it won’t appear until you sign in there with the email you gave the “email me a link” row. The Infinite Library website’s book count covers library books only — Bindery books live in Bindery. Still missing? Email hello@infinitelibrary.ai with the book’s title and a person will dig it out; your work saves to our servers automatically.

### [My sign-in code doesn’t work.](https://www.infinitelibrary.ai/faq#my-sign-in-code-doesn-t-work)

Codes are single-use and short-lived. Request a fresh one, check your spam folder, and make sure you are entering the newest code sent to that exact address. If codes never arrive, try a different email provider or sign in with Google instead — one account can use both as long as the email matches.

That is a brief, studio-wide capacity limit on our side — not your account and not your credits, which are safe. Try again in a minute; a stalled compose picks up where it left off. If it keeps happening, tell the Librarian or email hello@infinitelibrary.ai.

Reload the page and confirm you are signed in with the member email. If the button is still there after composing finishes, that is a bug — tell the Librarian chat or email hello@infinitelibrary.ai with the book’s title and we’ll fix your account.

A font without those glyphs. Books in non-Latin scripts switch typesetting engines and fonts automatically — right-to-left scripts and Chinese, Japanese, and Korean included — and when a glyph is still missing the proof shows a “missing glyphs” warning with a one-click fix. If it persists, tell the agent which script the text is in.

The Librarian is our AI concierge in the site’s chat (and in the app). It answers from the published help center and guides, and for a signed-in account it can check your credit balance and membership, your sales and payouts, and your recent orders with tracking; it can start the self-serve account-deletion flow, and when something needs a person — a refund, a doubled charge, lost work, a takedown — it opens a ticket with the conversation attached and a human follows up by email. It can’t issue refunds, change your email, or take a book down itself.

There is no phone line — support is by chat and email, and that is where the people who build the product actually are.
